The first edition of Environmental Health, from Global to Local
, published by PAHO/WHO, is now available in both English and Spanish. This book aims to build, systematize, and disseminate knowledge, methods, and techniques for environmental management. It covers relationships between the environment and economic development, including issues such as environmental justice and ethics in environmental health which are especially relevant today.
The authors address the practice of environmental public health practice and include chapters on assessment and communication of risk, health services, regulations and legal resources, economic development, urbanization, and sanitation.
