The Ministry of Health in Barbados has an additional weapon in its fight against the Aedes mosquito.

The PAHO ECC office in collaboration with the University of the West Indies (UWI) Zika Task Force on the 27th April 2016, organized a Zika information session for all Faith-based Organizations in Barbados.

PAHO ECC and the Ministry of Health Barbados joined forces to celebrate World TB Day under the theme "UNITE TO END TB".

Minister John Boyce today received from PAHO 250 bed nets which will be used as part of the countries fight against the Zika Virus.

The Minister of Health for Barbados, the Hon John Boyce today received from Dr Godfrey Xuereb the PAHO/WHO Representative for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean the document prepared by PAHO which reviews and maps the work that Barbados is doing to achieve SDG Goal 3 "Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages".
