Peru is hosting the Biennial Meeting of the CARMEN Network, a PAHO initiative that seeks to prevent chronic diseases by reducing risk factors through health action in the Americas. The idea is to provide a forum for sharing, learning and collaborating among countries and partner organizations in order to reduce the burden of chronic noncommunicable diseases.
