National Consultant to support the implementation of the Mercury in Skin Lightening Products Global Environment Facility (GEF)-Funded Project in Jamaica

The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) invites applicants for the function of National Consultant to support the implementation of the Mercury in Skin Lightening Products Global Environment Facility (GEF)-Funded Project in Jamaica. 

Duty station: 

Kinston, Jamaica

Qualifications: 

Essential: Bachelor’s degree in public health, environmental health, social sciences, health promotion or other health-related field from a recognised university

Experience: 

Essential: At least five years of experience in developing, supporting, or managing environmental health, health promotion or product safety-related projects

Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the policies and procedures on environmental health and/or product safety. 
  • Proven ability to think strategically, manage projects and processes to deliver results.
  • Experience and proficiency in working with government and other partners in an effective and culturally competent manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work harmoniously as a member of a team, adapt to diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and maintain a high standard of personal conduct.
  • Advanced computer skills including use of standard Microsoft Office programs

Languages:

Very good knowledge of English
