On Wednesday, 13 February 2019, join the webinar "How well are we doing on alcohol policy implementation?" an event to launch the "Alcohol Policy Scoring: "Alcohol Policy Scoring: Assessing the level of implementation of the WHO Global Strategy to reduce the harmful use of alcohol in the Region of the Americas" publication and kick off our Alcohol and Health webinar series.
In this webinar, Dr Trangenstein will present the methodology for constructing a series of composite indicators aimed at evaluating the level of implementation of the ten policy areas of the WHO Global Strategy for Reducing Harmful use of Alcohol adopted in 2010 at the World Health Assembly. Such methodology was developed by the WHO Regional Office for Europe and adapted for the Region of the Americas, using the information provided by Member States in 2016, when completing the Global Survey on Alcohol and Health. The presentation will include main results from the applied methodology in this first comparative assessment of alcohol policy implementation in the Americas.
