Consultancy An opportunity exists at the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Guyana Country Office for the Development of the Climate Change, Health National Adaptation Plan (HNAP) for Guyana.
Education and experience:
1. Knowledge about health systems’ operations;
2. Knowledge about climate change and its impacts on health;
3. Experience in data collection and analysis;
4. Experience in conducting a Vulnerability Assessment (V &A)
5. Experience in conducting Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and Sensitivity Analyses;
6. Experience liaising with Ministries and national authorities, especially concerning, health, climate change and the environment;
7. Particular skills working with communities and building relations with leaders and other key individuals;
8. Strong professional and academic writing and reporting skills;
9. Strong research and analysis, problem-solving and organizational skills.
10. Ability to work in teams will also be an asset.
Languages:
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; knowledge of Spanish and / or Portuguese would be an asset.
