Ceremony - World Health Organization (WHO) recognition of the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory as a National Influenza Centre (NIC)
On the 31st of October 2023, the World Health Organization (WHO) recognized the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory, located in Bridgetown, Barbados, as a National Influenza Centre, and as a member of the WHO Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System (GISRS).
To recognize this significant achievement, the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Wellness Barbados, will host an official ceremony.
