Dominican Republic (Update)

On 22 November 2023, Dominican Republic Civil Protection published updated information on the flooding caused by a cyclone in the country. According to the information, 7,412 homes were affected, 14 partially affected and 22 were destroyed. At least 37,060 people were displaced to safe areas and 55 communities are isolated. A total of 4 shelters were opened housing 158 people and 59 water services were affected, of which 55 are inoperable. The report is available from: Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia

Guatemala (Update)

On 22 November 2023, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published an update on the rainy season in the country. There have been 1,765 severe rain incidents reported nationally (19 increase since the 17 November report). At least 4,588,190 people were affected (37,892 increase), 121,908 people were attended to (2,566 increase), 44,095 people were evacuated (1,790 increase), and 19 people are missing. The report is available from: CONRED
