Cholera vaccination in the city of Les Cayes, Sud Department, Haiti
Amalia Jean Simon, 10 years old, was one of the first to approach the cholera vaccination post in the city of Les Cayes to get the oral cholera vaccine.
Vaccination campaign
People of all ages received notifications that the vaccine campaign was underway in Haiti. The strategy defined by the Ministry of Health, with support from PAHO/WHO, is to vaccinate people at fixed immunization centers, mobile centers, and in some cases by going door to door.
