Wellness Week begins on September 16 with a full agenda of activities and events that aim to emphasize the importance of building natural and socioeconomic conditions necessary to modify and promote the prevention of risk factors that cause NCDs.

The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) and the World Economic Forum are the organizations behind the initiative, which seeks to develop a social movement that promotes actions for healthy living and to call attention to the problem between people, policy makers, communities and employers.
