On 2 March 2021, the Governor of Cundinamarca Department in Colombia, reported recent heavy rain and floods causing several emergencies in Tena and Viota municipalities. Landslides occurred on the road that connects the municipalities of Sibaté with Fusagasugá. Elsewhere, in Antioquia Department, heavy rain affected El Retiro Municipality where 6 persons were injured and one died due to landslides. Media reported, in Quindío Department, heavy rain left 12,000 persons without water, gas, and electricity in the municipalities of Filandia, Salento, and Circasia.
