An opportunity exists at the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Guyana Country Office for a National Consultant to support Disease Elimination
Education and experience:
1. Essential: A University degree in a health-related profession from a recognized University. Eligible consultants must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in epidemiology, disease prevention and control programs and/or the administration of health services related to communicable diseases both of the public sector and in an international organization.
2. Desirable: A medical degree; master´s degree in epidemiology, communicable diseases, public health or a related field; experience working in disease elimination, malaria surveillance, control and prevention would be an asset.
Languages:
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; knowledge of Spanish and / or Portuguese would be an asset.
