On 29 June 2020, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reported that the Canal Fire, located on state and private land in and around Leamington and Fool Creek towns in Utah State, threatens homes, farm equipment valued at one million USD, and a cement plant. Elsewhere in Utah, the Knolls Fire, located on state, federal and private land near Lake Mountain, is heading towards the city of Saratoga Springs with a population of 31,400. Several homes, several hundred businesses, and an explosives plant are threatened by the fire. According to media, the fire has damaged 12 homes in Saratoga Springs and nearly 13,000 have been evacuated from the area.
