On 10 February, the Peru National Civil Defense Institute (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish) reported that due to heavy rains on 7 February several neighborhoods in the province of Daniel Alcides Carrión in the department of Pasco were affected. According to Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (EDAN per its acronym in Spanish), 252 people were affected and 63 houses sustained damages. The coordination of humanitarian aid has been ongoing between local authorities and the Provincial Municipality of Daniel Alcides Carrión. The affected people were temporarily placed in neighboring houses that were unaffected by the damage or continue using rooms in their homes that were not damaged. Heavy rains in Zarumilla district of Tumbes province affected 31 people, damaged 30 houses, and destroyed 2 houses according to EDAN. Humanitarian aid is being distributed to the affected residents.
