On 20 April 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), published information on severe thunderstorms in the Central and Southern Plains and Middle Mississippi Valley areas of the United States. The storms downed trees and power lines and damaged or destroyed an unknown number of structures. In the state of Oklahoma, 2 deaths were reported and 24,000 people are without power. Additionally, in Oklahoma 3 shelters were opened, with no current occupants and multiple houses and buildings were destroyed in the city of Cole, McClain County. The report is available at: FEMA
