On 28 February 2024, the Acre State Government, Brazil, provided information on the 17 municipalities in emergency in the state (Assis Brasil, Brasileia, Capixaba, Cruzeiro do Sul, Epitaciolândia, Feijó, Jordão Mâncio Lima, Marechal Thaumaturgo, Plácido de Castro, Porto Walter, Rio Branco, Santa Rosa do Purus, Sena Madureira, Tarauacá, and Xapuri). In the municipality of Brasileia, the Acre River surpassed historic 2015 flood levels; approximately 75% of the municipality is isolated as access is only possible by river. In Acre, as of 28 February, there were 20,182 displaced people (5,706 increase since the 28 February report), of which, 6,627 (667 increase) are sheltered among 70 shelters (8 increase).
