Panama

On 7 July 2023, the Civil Protection of Panama (SINAPROC per its acronym in Spanish) published information on the heavy rains caused by the tropical storm #12 in the country. There were 45 homes and five structures affected nationwide. Of the affected homes 33 were in the municipality of La Chorrera, province of Panama Oeste, and 12 were reported in the province of Chiriquí. Heat Wave

Mexico

On 5 July 2023, the Government of Mexico published their weekly report on the extreme temperatures in the country. According to the report, between 19 March and 1 July 2023, there were 2,454 cases and 152 deaths associated with the heat wave reported. The deaths occurred in the states of Nuevo Leon (72), Tamaulipas (25), Veracruz (20), Coahuila (9), Tabasco (6), Sonora (6), Oaxaca (4), San Luis Potosí (3), Quintana Roo (2), Yucatán (2), Baja California Sur (1), Campeche (1), Oaxaca (4), San Luis Potosí (3), Quintana Roo (2), California Sur (1), Campeche (1), and Sinaloa (1).
