Honduras (Update)

On 8 November 2023, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), published updated information on the heavy rains in the country. According to the information, 2,094 people were displaced, of which 1,632 have been evacuated in temporary shelters. The most affected Departments are Atlántida, Colón, Cortés, Gracias a Dios, Islas de la Bahía, Santa Bárbara, Yoro, Olancho and Alianza Municipality in Valle Department. The OCHA also reported 23 bridges, 27 highways and 13 roads affected. On 6 November, media reported the occurrence of 6 deaths (2 increase since the 4 November report). The reports are available from: OCHA and CNN
