Flooding in Suriname - 2022
Suriname has been experiencing heavy rainfall since the start of 2022 which has caused severe flooding in some areas. The latest seasonal rainfall outlook suggests that a wetter than usual or above-average rainfall can be expected from June to August 2022. Flooding remains a concern for the period June into mid-July especially in areas already underwater.
