The American Public Health Association (APHA) is a Washington, D.C.-based organization dedicated to public health professionals in the United States. With over 25,000 members, APHA is the largest public health organization in the country and hosts the world’s largest gathering of public health professionals at its annual meeting and exhibition.

APHA Global Public Health Film Festival

For over five decades, PAHO has been an active partner with APHA, collaborating on various initiatives that address a wide range of public health issues in the Americas.

From October 27 to 30, seven PAHO videos will be featured at the APHA Film Festival in the Minneapolis, city of the state of Minnesota highlighting critical health topics such as maternal and child health, violence against women and children, communicable and non-communicable diseases, and mental health initiatives. These productions aim to both educate and inspire action.

PAHO has maintained a strong presence at the APHA conference for the past decade, and this year’s selection of videos offers a valuable opportunity to highlight our mission and work in the Americas.
