The Caribbean Roadmap for Human Resources for Universal Health 2018-2022 was developed by a joint effort of 15 CARICOM Member States, with the technical support of the Pan American Health Organization /World Health Organization. The Caribbean Roadmap sets out a comprehensive approach at the sub-regional level that enables countries to develop common standards and guidelines for HRH planning and policy development, avoiding duplication of efforts and benefiting from economies of scale and best practices. The Roadmap includes seven HRH priorities: governance and leadership, education and training, access and quality, finance, HRH information systems, research, and, workforce feminization and gender responsiveness. For each priority, the Caribbean Roadmap identifies the challenges, objectives and best practices. The Roadmap provides milestones and costs to implement it in the sub-region.
