The Regional Revolving Funds of PAHO support the countries of the Americas in these three areas. Through timely access to safe and quality vaccines, they help prevent HPV infections and associated cancers. They also facilitate access to technologies and supplies for early screening and diagnosis, including molecular HPV detection tests, as well as technologies and supplies for treating precancerous lesions and cervical cancer, strengthening health systems' capacity to provide timely care and save lives. By enhancing access to vaccines, screening tests, treatment medications, and supportive care, as well as treatment technologies, the RRFs support countries on the path toward the elimination of cervical cancer by 2030. Through molecular HPV detection tests, technologies, medications (including supportive ones), and supplies for the treatment of precancerous lesions and cervical cancer, which are the latest additions to the RRF portfolio, they offer an affordable and long-term solution to increase screening coverage. |
