National Consultancy for Demand Analysis of Sugar Sweetened Beverages
An opportunity exists for a short-term technical consultant to conduct an analysis of the demand for sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs): own-price and income elasticities, cross-price elasticities, and impact of excise tax increase scenarios on consumption and tax revenue in Guyana. This consultancy is supported by the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Guyana.
The Consultant must have a university degree in Economics and 8 years of experience conducting economic analyses and research, preferably in the Caribbean context. He/she must be fluent in English. Previous experience conducting demand analyses, particularly for SSBs would be an asset. The Consultant should be a national of Guyana.
