On 27 July 2020, the Mayor of San Pedro in Nuevo Leon State, Mexico, reported that several towns were affected due to Hurricane Hanna over the weekend. In addition, the Civil Protection of the Tamaulipas State activated temporary shelters for people affected by the hurricane. Media reported, more than 2,500 households were affected due to an overflow of Arroyo Topo Chico in Nuevo Leon State and more than fifty-five communities were affected. In Reynosa city, Tamaulipas, a maternity hospital flooded and had to quickly evacuate patients. Guatemala (Update)

On 27 July 2020, the Guatemala National Coordinator for the Reduction of Disasters (CONRED) reported an update regarding the impacts of the rainy season in Guatemala. Per the update, 937,570 people were affected (an increase of 2,556 since the last report on 20 July), 3,310 were injured (an increase of 231), and 7,290 were evacuated (an increase of 218). Additionally, a total of 1,515 homes were moderately damaged, 97 homes were severely damaged, and 135 highways were affected. The report is available in Spanish at: CONRED
