On 11 September 2026, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory of the United States Geological Survey (USGS/HVO) reported that Kīlauea volcano continued to experience intermittent precursory lava flows from the north vent in Halemaʻumaʻu, activity that began on 7 September. According to the report, 69 overflows have occurred since then, with the most recent beginning at 7:32 a.m. HST, and lava-fountaining episode 55 is likely to begin on 11 or 12 September. The volcano alert level remains at WATCH and the aviation color code at ORANGE, with the eruption confined to a closed area of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Additional impacts include volcanic gas emissions and vog, which may cause respiratory problems downwind. No population evacuations were reported. Information available from: USGS HVO.

On 11 September 2026, the Civil Defense of Paraná (Defesa Civil) reported that severe storms with hail and strong winds affected several regions of the state between 10 and 11 September. According to the report, more than 250 homes were unroofed in Ramilândia, 50 of which were considered a total loss; approximately 500 residences were damaged by hail in Dois Vizinhos; and about 100 residences were affected in Matelândia. A house in Curitiba was also interdicted following a partial structural collapse. Additional impacts included damaged power poles, unroofed schools, isolated communities in Fernandes Pinheiro, flooded parks, fallen trees, crop damage, and power outages.
