On 12 August, the Dominican Republic Emergency Operations Center (COE, per its acronym in Spanish) reported that 14 provinces are currently under red alert and 17 are under yellow alert for possible flooding of rivers, streams, and ravines, as well as flash or urban floods, due to the passage of Tropical Depression Fred. On 11 August, media reported that there are currently 301 electrical circuits out of service due to the storm, which has affected 301,078 users. In addition, 26 aqueducts have collapsed, which has affected 580,186. The National Institute of Potable Water and Sewers is working on restoring water to the affected populations. United States of America (update)  
On 12 August, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency provided an update to the Dixie fire currently occurring in Northern California. The Dixie fire now covers 505,413 acres and is currently 30% contained. Mandatory evacuations have been required for 29,020 people, and 3 injuries and no fatalities have been reported. The fire is threatening 14,298 houses, has damaged 44 houses, and has destroyed 598 houses. The report is available at FEMA.
