On 13 October, the Guatemala National Coordination System for Disaster Reduction (CONRED as per its acronym in Spanish) reported 871 weather related incidents during the 2021 Rainy Season. CONRED worked in conjunction with the Local, Municipal, Departmental, and Regional Coordinators for Disaster Reduction (COLRED, COMRED, CODRED, and CORRED as per their acronyms in Spanish) to provide aid to 23,760 people of which 11,548 were evacuated and 654 were placed in temporary shelters. According to the Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (EDAN as per its acronym in Spanish) 1,349 houses sustained slight damage, 2,884 houses have sustained moderate damage, and 125 sustained severe damage.
