On 13 September 2026, the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) reported several incidents associated with heavy rainfall and strong winds in the provinces of Coclé, Colón, and Chiriquí. In Colón, 11 houses were affected by roof detachments, while landslides, fallen trees, and other structural damage were also reported. In Chiriquí, two people were rescued in Playa Hermosa. SINAPROC teams conducted damage assessments and provided assistance in the affected areas. Media also reported one death in Alanje, allegedly associated with a fallen tree; the case was still being validated by authorities. On 14 September 2026, media reported impacts from heavy rainfall in the state of São Paulo. In Eldorado municipality, the Ribeira de Iguape River rose approximately 8.5 meters, flooding houses, businesses, and roads. A total of 173 people (54 families) were evacuated from their homes as a preventive measure, and humanitarian assistance was provided to the affected population.
