On 15 May 2024, the Government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, published updated information on the heavy rains affecting 449 municipalities of the state (3 increase since the 14 May report).

Uruguay (Update)
On 14 May 2024, the Uruguay National Emergency System published information on heavy rains affecting the five departments of the country. According to the report, 3,352 were displaced throughout the country (507 increase since the 14 May report); they are geographically distributed across the departments of Paysandú (n=1,569), Durazno (n=934), Salto (n=594), , Artigas (n=106), Rocha (n=40), Soriano (n=39), Cerro Lago (n=25), Treinta y Tres (n=25), and Tacuarembó (n=19).
