On 13 May 2026, media reports provided information on the impacts of flooding across the state of Amazonas, Brazil, associated with rising river levels. According to authorities, 16 municipalities remain in a state of emergency and six municipalities are under alert. An estimated 158,411 people have been affected across the state. In addition, 125 water purification kits were distributed to 21 municipalities to support access to safe drinking water. The Civil Defense of Amazonas continues to monitor river levels and coordinate response actions aimed at reducing the impact on affected populations. The information available from: Portal
