Argentina

On 15 December 2023, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), published information on the heavy rains in the country. According to the information, the heavy rains has been affecting central and northeastern Argentina since 13 December. The OCHA reported that according to medias reports, two people died in Entre Ríos Province, the most affected area, due to a severe weather-related incident. More than 70 families have been displaced in Olavarría City, Buenos Aires Province and 40 people have been evacuated across Santa Fe and Entre Ríos Provinces. The report is available from: OCHA

Peru

On 15 December 2023, the National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish) informed that on 14 December 2023, heavy rains registered in the Chaupimarca district, Pasco Department that damaged a total of 15 homes affecting 15 persons and one health care facility.
