On 19 August 2026, the National Service for Disaster Prevention and Response (SENAPRED) of Chile provided updated information on the meteorological event affecting the regions between Arica y Parinacota and Coquimbo. According to the report, 1,166 people were sheltered, 580 were left homeless, 22 remained isolated, one death was reported, and three people were injured.

Regarding damage to housing, 182 dwellings sustained major damage, 892 sustained minor damage, and 68 remained under evaluation. Additional impacts included the declaration of a State of Constitutional Exception of Catastrophe for the province of Tocopilla, a Red Alert for the province of Iquique and the commune of Huara, and Yellow Alerts for the regions of Arica y Parinacota, Atacama, and Coquimbo. Approximately 4,714 customers were without electricity, and road closures were reported due to the activation of ravines, mudflows, and fallen material affecting transportation routes.
