Guatemala (Update)
On 18 October 2023, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published an update on the rainy season in the country. There have been 1,112 severe rain incidents reported nationally (29 increase since the 16 October report). At least 3,807,441 people were affected (20,311 increase), 43,002 people were attended to (2,797 increase), 19,860 people were evacuated (1,106 increase), 14,634 people are considered at risk (160 increase), and 946 people are being sheltered (20 increase).
