On 21 April 2026, the Government of Argentina provided information on the heavy rainfall and flooding affecting the provinces of Chaco, Formosa, and Santiago del Estero. According to the report, local authorities mobilized personnel and logistical resources to evacuate and assist affected families in multiple localities. In Juan José Castelli, approximately 300 people were transported to three evacuation centers. In El Espinillo, 20 families received assistance, including shelter and medical support. On 20 April 2026, according to media reports regarding heavy rains in the municipality of Sorocaba, in the state of São Paulo, more than 600 families were affected, with impacts including fallen trees, localized flooding, and power outages. Additional effects were reported in the municipality of Piedade, where around 30 houses sustained roof damage, and in Ibiúna, where nearly 100 homes were affected and more than 600 people were displaced. Ecuador
On 21 April 2026, according to media reports regarding the ongoing rainy season in Ecuador, a total of 17 deaths and 103,011 people affected have been reported nationwide in 2026.
