On 22 April 2024, the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare of Paraguay, reported heavy rainfall in the departments of Ñeembucú, Presidente Hayes, and Cordillera. According to the information, the heavy rains occurred on 20-21 April 2024. A total of 2,360 families were affected. There were 2,150 families evacuated to shelters in the department of Ñeembucu.
