Dominican Republic (Update)
On 23 April 2026, the Dominican Republic Emergency Operations Center (COE per its acronym in Spanish) provided updated information on heavy rainfall affecting the country. According to the report, the provinces of Puerto Plata and Espaillat were impacted. Media reports indicate that at least three people were displaced, 16 aqueducts were out of service, and 232,107 users were affected. Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of)
On 22 April 2026, the Civil Protection of Venezuela (Fuerza Naranja) provided updated information on the impact of heavy rainfall, which affected 10 sectors due to the overflow of four streams. According to official reports, 51 families received comprehensive assistance following the implementation of Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (EDAN) protocols. The assessment identified 35 homes with varying levels of damage, including 29 that were flooded. In response, authorities activated humanitarian assistance and safety mechanisms to support affected populations and prioritize the restoration of essential services. On 22 April 2026, media reports provided updated information on heavy rainfall in the municipality of Belém, in the state of Pará, Brazil. According to available information, approximately 13,000 people were displaced. The heavy rains caused widespread flooding across several neighborhoods, with streets submerged, homes inundated, and families forced to leave their residences.
