On 25 September 2026, media reported impacts associated with Hurricane Polo along the Pacific coast of Mexico. In Guerrero State, 51 people were evacuated to a temporary shelter due to high waves generated by the hurricane. In Colima, seven establishments were destroyed on El Paraíso beach, while damage to coastal facilities was also reported in Michoacán. No deaths were reported in Guerrero. On 24 September 2026, media reported flooding and landslides caused by heavy rainfall in the departments of Santa Bárbara and Yoro. In Quimistán, Santa Bárbara, more than 30 families were affected, including 18 by the overflow of a stream in Cuyagual, while at least 15 houses in urban areas were affected by flooding.
