Colombia (Update)  

On 25 April, the Colombia National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD per its acronym in Spanish), reported that between 16 March and 24 April, there were 369 weather events related to the rainy season in 210 municipalities of 22 departments in the country. A total of 21,524 people were affected, 33 fatalities occurred, 45 injuries were reported, and 10 people remain missing. In addition, 117 houses were destroyed, 3,025 houses were damaged, 371 roads were affected, and 24 vehicular bridges and 8 pedestrian bridges have been recorded damaged. Of the 369 events, 196 were mass movements, 82 were floods, 43 were sudden floods, 25 pertained to gales, 12 were storms, 9 were torrential floods, and 2 were hailstorms. Wildfire  

United States of America  

On 25 April, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reported the Road 702 Fire around the communities of Furnas, Red Willow, and Frontier, Nebraska. The fire began on 22 April and has burned 41,155 acres and is 0% contained. The mandatory evacuation order that initially required 2,000 residents to evacuate has been lifted and 650 houses and 50 other structures are currently threatened. In total, 6 houses were destroyed, 1 fatality occurred, and 13 people were injured. The report is available at: FEMA.
