On 28 December 2022, in the United States, the Eerie County government in New York state has an active States of Emergency for the entire country and a Driving Ban is in effect for Buffalo city in relation to the winter storm caused by the artic blast. In addition, media has reported 59 deaths, of which 34 are in Erie County, New York, 2 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, 3 in Kansas, 3 in Kentucky, 1 in Missouri, 1 in New Hampshire, 9 in Ohio, 2 in South Carolina, 1 in Tennessee, 1 in Vermont, and 1 in Wisconsin.
