United States of America (Update) 

On 31 August 2022, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), provided information about the heavy rains in Jackson, Mississippi, United States. Recent flooding along the Pearl River may have exacerbated several existing issues with the O.B. Curtis water treatment plant in Jackson, Mississippi, which serves 160,000 residents. The city of Jackson and surrounding areas of Hinds County are experiencing a near total loss of water pressure. The Governor of Mississippi requested an Emergency Declaration for the water crisis beginning on 30 August 2022. The local government will distribute water daily and the National Guard will begin assisting with some operations on 1 September 2022. The report is available at: FEMA

 

Colombia (update)

On 31 August 2022, Administrative Department for the Management of Disaster Risk of Antioquia (DAGRAN acronym in Spanish), provided information about heavy rains that occurred in Antioquia Department, Colombia. According to the report, one fatal case was reported in San Jose, Antioquia. In Peque, Antioquia, 4 houses were affected. In Apartadó, Antioquia, 1,500 families were affected by the flooding.
