Brazil 
On 4 May 2026, the Government of Brazil provided an update on heavy rainfall affecting the states of Pernambuco and Paraíba. In Pernambuco, 27 municipalities were impacted, with 7,271 people displaced and six deaths reported. In Paraíba, 13 municipalities were affected, with two deaths and 2,913 people displaced. Media reports indicate that approximately 37,400 people have been affected by the heavy rains in the state. Panama 
On 3 May 2026, the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) reported heavy rainfall affecting several provinces, including Panamá, Panamá Oeste, Veraguas, and Chiriquí in Panama. Authorities indicated that 158 people (approximately 31 families) were affected. Additionally, 31 houses were damaged by flooding, and three landslides with structural collapses were reported. One death due to drowning was confirmed, and one person remains missing in Chiriquí Province. Authorities also reported one missing person in Chiriquí Province.
