On 4 March 2023, the Governor of the state of Kentucky in the United States, provided information on the severe storms and dangerous winds that occurred there over the weekend. As of 4 March 2023, there were 475,000 people without power and 15 water systems with limited operations. Additionally, 5 deaths have been reported. A separate media report provided information on severe storms in additional states; there were at least 10 deaths were reported between 5 southern states (Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky).
