On 5 October 2022, the state government of Florida provided an update on Hurricane Ian's effects in Florida. According to the report, there are currently 298,820 people without power (a decrease of 286,703 since the prior report), and more than 2.4 million accounts have been restored in the state. There have been 2,500 rescues made to date. More than 11.5 million meals ready-to-eat (MREs) and 41 million bottles of water have been distributed. Boil water advisories have been issued for 162 areas, over 22 counties, following the impacts from Hurricane Ian. Venezuela

On 5 October 2022, the Civil Protection of Venezuela (SNGR per its acronym in Spanish) provided information about recent heavy rains, including in the municipalities of Sucre, Catatumbo, Cólon, Federico Quiroz, and Jesús María Semprún. To date, 10 shelters have been opened in Cólon Municipality, Zulia State, with 169 occupants. Additionally, on 6 October, the SNGR reported that Tropical Wave #41 has caused precipitation throughout the country that has affected approximately 74,000 people.
