United States of America (Update)

On 7 February 2024, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided information on the heavy rains in the state of California, the United States of America. According to the information, nine deaths were reported (5 increase since the 6 February report) and 3 shelters remain open, currently housing 86 occupants; and a total of 73,000 customers remains without power (80,000 decrease). Wildfire

Chile (Update)

On 7 February 2024, the Chile Ministry of the Interior and Civil Protection (SENAPRED per its acronym in Spanish) published updated information regarding the wildfire Chile. According to the update, 92 homes were destroyed (7 increase since the 6 February report) in the regions of O’Higgins (n=80), Maule (n=3), La Araucanía (n=7), and Los Lagos (n=2). There were 104 people affected (10 increase) in the regions of O’Higgins (n=8), Maule (n=9), La Araucanía (n=8), Los Lagos (n=4), and 131 deaths have been reported (8 increase).
