On 8 June, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency reported Tropical Storm Elsa’s move across the eastern shore towards the eastern Mid-Atlantic States. Evacuation orders have been lifted from Florida and the number of shelters open has decreased to 5 with 15 occupants. Minimal power outages were reported in Florida and Georgia. North Carolina and South Carolina are expected to receive minimal impact from the storm with no anticipated federal support requirements. Media reported no major damage in Florida, however one person was reportedly killed when a tree fell on two cars. In Camden County, Georgia, a possible tornado struck an RV park and injured 10 people who were taken to the hospital. Some buildings were damaged in the surrounding area.
