On 15 March 2023, the Peru Civil Protection (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish), published updated information on the effects of the heavy rains in the departments of La Libertad, Piura, Áncash, Lambayeque, Tumbes, and Lima. In the department of La Libertad, heavy rains caused a landslide in the district of Quiruvilca resulting in 7 deaths and injuring 18 people. In the department of Piura, 8,277 people were affected (2,133 increase since the 14 March report), 3,365 homes were affected (727 increase), and 263 homes were destroyed (78 increase). In the department of Áncash, in the district of Chimbote, there were 3,300 people affected and 1,000 houses affected, with 300 houses destroyed; 20 healthcare facilities and 40 educational institutions were affected and 40% of the electricity services are out. In Áncash, in the district of Casma, 1,000 people were affected (400 increase since the 13 March 2023) and 150 homes were affected (115 increase). In the department of Lambayeque, there were 1,871 people and 831 homes affected, with 171 homes destroyed; 13 institutions providing health services (IPRESS per its acronym in Spanish) were affected and operational.  In the department of Tumbes, there were 354 people affected (4 increase since the 14 March report). In the department of Lima, there were 9 people affected and 3 homes destroyed; 76 institutions providing health services (IPRESS) were affected.
