An opportunity for a local contractor exits at Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Guyana Country Office. The successful candidate would update the National Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV and Congenital Syphilis Manual as part of strengthening the norms and protocols. This programme in collaboration with the Maternal and Child Health/PMCT Units and all other relevant departments in the Ministry of Health.
Experience:
• Academic Qualifications with a first degree in medical or a health-related field plus a Master of Public Health or any Postgraduate studies in a health-related field.
• Previous experience in the Maternal and Child Health/ Prevention of Mother-to-Child transmission and HIV programmes over the last 5 years.
• Previous experience in working on Projects in Maternal and Child Health Good human relations skills must be demonstrated in dealing with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility is to be demonstrated in meeting the goals and objectives.
• Ability to conduct training with groups of young adults.
• Confidentiality and integrity are always to be maintained
