The purpose of the Integrated Management Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Arboviral Diseases 2026–2035 is to provide guidance to Member States on strengthening their capacity for the prevention, early detection, and effective response to dengue and other arboviral diseases, in accordance with their national contexts. To this end, the strategy is structured around four lines of action aimed at consolidating integrated management for the prevention and control of arboviral diseases, strengthening integrated surveillance, improving the capacity of health systems for differential diagnosis and clinical management, and strengthening collaborative integrated vector management. These lines of action provide a standardized and measurable framework for strengthening a cross-sectoral response—based on evidence and regional technical cooperation— that contributes to a sustained reduction in morbidity, mortality, and the socioeconomic impact of arboviral diseases, while considering local-level risk management and social and environmental determinants.
