This document contains the course overview and agenda for the train-the-trainers course held in Brasilia, Brazil, on 14-16 October 2009 on Cancer Registration and Data Quality Control in Population-Based Cancer Registries, the second part of the Regional Meeting of Cancer Registries and Cancer Program Managers, part of the PAHO-IARC collaborative initiative on improving cancer information in Latin America and the Caribbean (held on 13-14 October). The course was aimed at professionals occupying management-level positions in cancer registries, with a minimum of five years experience, who could train others. The purpose of this course is to train the trainers and establish a Regional group with expertise in Latin America and the Caribbean to support the cancer registries of the Regions in producing data on cancer incidence, in collaboration with IARC and PAHO.
