Monitoring framework for advanced HIV disease

This framework offers a standardized set of indicators and data elements that make it possible to measure disease burden, access to and coverage of essential services — such as CD4 determination, tuberculosis screening and treatment, and opportunistic fungal infections— as well as associated mortality. These indicators are aligned with the global reporting tools of the World Health Organization and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, facilitating international comparability and integration with national health information systems.
